Lifted, spicy and extremely seductive fruit. Incense. Smells like standing in the middle of the Radian vineyard diatomaceous earth blocks. Chaparral, black sage and Luxardo cherry. So coiled and full of energy, it’s like a spring that releases. Pine forest and thyme. Dusty and chewy. A nervy wine with loads of inner sweetness. Juniper and sweet soil. Mint, black tea, sage and bay leaf. As always, a mercurial chameleon of a wine constantly shifting shape, size, and savoriness. Full of Radian tannins that coat the mouth completely and gently, then recede quietly into the background to allow the dark and resinous fruit to shine. Tastes even better on day two and three. This wine, much like the 2022 Bentrock Pinot Noir, is just getting started. - Matt Dees, Winemaker
